When we think about country, what comes in our mind is big place with lot of states, cities, rivers and lot of people. But you will be shocked to know that there are few countries which are smaller than your own township and still have their own government and rules and regulations.

10. Grenada………………………..344 sq. Km

Popularly known as “Island of Spice”, Grenada is located northwest of Trinidad and Tobago. The country is the largest producer of nutmeg and mace crops. The Arawak Indians were first inhabitant to this Island. The island was also ruled by French for almost 150 years and then by Britishers for 200 years. Grenada became independent on Feb 7, 1974 and Mr. Eric M. Gairy was its first Prime Minister.

9. Malta……………………………..316 sq. Km

Malta is located in the Mediterranean sea, about 97 km south of the southeast tip of Sicily. The present population of country is around 450,000 and it is one of the most densely populated country in the world. Malta is also one of most famous tourist attractions and many tourist come to enjoy its sunny weather and beaches.

8. Maldives………………………..298 sq. Km

Maldives “A garland of Island” is located in Indian Ocean is the smallest country in Asia in terms of populations and area. It is that small that it cannot have its own Airport. The only way to reach Maldives is through waterways. The Island is also famous among tourist because of its white sand beaches and coral reefs.

7. Saint Kitts and Nevis……….261 sq. Km

Popularly known as “Land of beautiful waters” Saint Kitts and Nevis was the first island occupied by Europeans. This is not only among the smallest but also among the youngest countries in terms of geographical formation. Only 50 million year old !!! You will also find some of the volcanic mountain ranges here.

The smallest and the holiest place of the world because it is the city of pope. and UNESCO world heritage site. the Gardens are the most beautiful and attractive part of the city. The gardens, established during the Renaissance and Baroque era, are decorated with fountains and sculptures.The gardens date back to medieval times and thus are that old to take you to that period journey and you will enjoy the history of it…

    I’ve been to Monaco and the Vatican city! Cool list. Now my ever growing bucket list just got bigger 🙂 I want to check out Nauru next!

    I’ve been to Malta last year, it’s absolutely beautiful. Going to Vatican in less than a month, I’m excited about that 😀 I also want to visit Liechtenstein, I’ve seen a lot of lovely pictures.

    The only one I have been to is the Vatican. I would love to visit the Maldives and I have hard so many great things about Malta. I would also like to head to Monaco.

    Never actually thought of how small these places are. I’m desperate to go to Maldives but so expensive. Malta is on the cards for this year.
