Ooty – A heavenly bliss

A small town located in the Nilgiri Hills named as Udhagamandalam popularly known as Ooty – Queen of hill station.

I finally arrived at my abode. I was eagerly waiting for visiting this place since I heard about it. and what could have been a better occasion than my 1st wedding anniversary….

Ooty is quite a beautiful place just like a dream turned to reality. The uplands were carpeted by thick forest, we crossed three Tiger reserve back to back to reach our destination.

The immaculately tall trees shading the valley was the most magnificent view I saw when I woke up in our Bus travelling towards Ooty. Also enjoyed a saffari as we crossed the tiger reserve. Elephants drinking water from the lake and splashing over, dear all around and rabbits jumping from one place to another was the common sight as we moved.

Almost completing an overnight and early morning Journey we reached our most awaited destination – Ooty. We took a Auto to reach our Hotel and got freshen up to immediately leave for sight seeing. the first point we started with was Doddabetta Peak, The view was stunning the magnificent mountains having a blanket of green and touching the sky was just par excellence but then you will be not the only one who have come there, the place is generally crowded as it is the most popular, You will also be able to enjoy the tasty treat as you will find many local food stall and not miss to enjoy the “Carrots”.

That name is a mouthful! No wonder they gave it a short nickname!
