So, Its April of 2016 and it feels like its hot like in the peak summers of May and June. People, specially from delhi have started typing the words like Rafting, hillstation near Delhi, adventure, water-sports, Camping, heritage rockclimbing, rappelling etc in google and normally the windows will popup with options like Mussoorie, Dhanaulti, Nainital, Corbett, Lansdowne, Manali, Shimla etc etc. But these well-known hill resorts in Northern India are waging a losing battle against overcrowding, urbanization, pollution and commercialization. So where to go??? We do, what we do best. We need to find an exception and there is always an exception. In this case, Ours is #Kanatal.

Kanatal @ 2590 meters, offers a serene experience in the lap of nature. For those who desperately crave to turn the usual weekends into mini vacations and dont want to burn a hole in their pocket, Kanatal is the idea for them whose time is ripe, location is grandour, beauty is at par with the best and yet accessible from Delhi i.e. with in 300 Kms.

There are many camps and few of them make fool of the guest by sellling them the idea of Kanatal in the name of nearby villages like Chopardiyal, Thangdaar and Roshanikhal etc. But the beauty of Kanatal cannot be matched as it is set amidst majestic forests of pine, deodar trees, magnificent rhododendrons, fruit-bearing apple trees, terrace farms intricately carved along hill sides, chirping birds all around and the fresh and invigorating mountain air.

For the ultimate experience visit the Adventure Nature Camps in Kanatal like #Living Kanatal or #TheKanatalOrchids.
These camps can provide Combo packages like Rafting at Rishikesh, Camping in Swiss Tents in Kanatal along with bonfire and adventure activities like Rock climbing, Rappelling, valley Crossing etc….

Place – Kanatal.
Location – 15 Kms from Chamba on Chamba – Mussoorie Highway.

Tune in with nature – Enjoy

Sounds like a really lovely place to visit. Though it looks really cold. Had never thought of Northern India for the mountains. Thanks for the introduction to Kanatal. Cheers!

This sounds great! Definitely a different side of India, but of course the Himalayas are there 🙂 looks like such an adventure.
